Peaches & Coffee Smoothie

Oh man!! I went weeks without having a smoothie and I finally had one this am! I treated myself last week to a pack of Starbucks VIA. I had been out of it for a long time! I forgot how much I loved putting coffee in my smoothies! Also, my body was  feeling off so I finally realized without smoothies I don’t get my dose of flaxseed . I need my flaxseed! That is the number one reason I am so happy I had a smoothie this am!

I went grocery shopping at Aldi last night and got great prices on frozen and fresh fruit! (I highly recommend you doing the same) I decided to go for a peaches and cream like smoothie but with coffee. It was delicious and I drank it down fast!

The ingredients are listed above but if you don’t have or want to leave out the peanut butter and or the Greek yogurt then go ahead and just add a little more protein powder. Or, if you want you can add a little more peanut butter and Greek yogurt and leave out the powder. As always, make it a good balance of nutrients!

Sweet Potato, Mango & Coffee Smoothie

Ok……this is a GREAT one!!!

If you like a coffee frap from Starbucks you will love making this one from home!!

If you are not a coffee lover then of course you can leave out the coffee!

This is what I used to create it:

1 scoop chocolate protein powder

1 c shredded sweet potato

(I had this in the fridge ready to go because I used some during dinner one night this week)

1 tsp. chia seeds or flax seeds

1 packet Starbucks VIA instant coffee pack

(no pictured as I decided to throw it in at the end-because why not???)

1 half banana

3 tsp. oats

1 c unsweetened almond milk

1 c frozen mango

1 c water

5 ice cubes

Sprinkle in half to 3/4 tsp. ginger and same with cinnamon

Blend very well and enjoy!!

1 tsp natural peanut butter or almond butter

1/4 c plain Greek yogurt

1 c red grapes

3 tsp oats

1 tsp chia seeds

1 small banana

1 c unsweetened almond milk

1 pack instant coffee pack (Starbucks VIA works)

1 scoop chocolate protein powder

Add Handful of ice and blend

Mango + Banana + Chocolate + Coffee smoothie!

Mango-banana-coffee-chocolate protein powder-flax, chia, oats and almond milk.

1/2 c chopped fresh mango

1 med banana

1 c unsweetened almond milk

1 packet instant coffee-I use Starbucks

1 tsp chia seeds

2 tsp flaxseeds

3 tsp oats

3 ice cubes

1 scoop AMP Wheyabolic Extreme 60 protein powder-from GNC-this is the kind I use (chocolate)

This is a complete and balanced breakfast 20 + grams of Protein, good carbs, lots of fiber, packed with good fats, omega 3 and 6 from the chia seeds, vitamin C and vitamin B from the banana and vitamin A and C from the mangos plus vitamin D and E from the almond milk, also great source of calcium!!!

What if you started every morning this way? I bet your body would thank you all day!!!
